What is my Account Number?

Your Account Number can be found on your invoice. It is located on the top, right-hand side of the page underneath the Invoice Number and Date.

What is my equipment ID number?

Your machine’s ID Number is a five-digit number printed on a sticker that can be found on the front of your device.

What is my machine's model number?

The Model Number will be located somewhere on the front of your device. Model Numbers for Sharp MFPs are usually located in the middle, numbers for Kyocera Printers are usually located on the top left.

My machine needs to be moved, can I do it myself?
Large MFPs and Printers are not designed to be moved around easily. Moving one of these machines without damaging it or the walls & floors around it takes some advanced expertise. We do not recommend moving your equipment without our assistance as it may cause damage and void its warranty if it has one. Please contact us about moving your device at 800-303-0188.

What is your policy on data security for returned equipment?
Select Business Systems has implemented a plan to ensure that no private data can be leveraged from your Sharp MFPs or Kyocera printers returned to our company. We also remove all hard drives from all machines that are traded in, and wipe them even if they are not Sharp or Kyocera brand. Hard drives that are removed are wiped to DoD 5220.22-M 3 Pass Standard using a program called WipeDrive Professional. WipeDrive is used by many companies, including the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security, United States Postal Service, Hewlett Packard, IBM, and many more. WipeDrive is compliant wipe disk tool for HIPAA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, The Patriot Act, Identity Theft and Assumption Deterrence Act, and others

Can I keep the hard drive from Select Business System's copier when I return it?
Yes. If you would like to keep the hard drive from the machine, we will remove it for $150.00. This fee covers our costs for purchasing a new hard drive for the machine, installing it, and reprogramming the machine to make it functional again.

If you would like to wipe the machine's hard drive yourself and then return it to us, we will remove if from the machine at no charge. 


Can you wipe my copier's hard drive for me?
Yes. If you need your copier's hard drive wiped so it can be donated, sold, or moved to another office, we can wipe your hard drive for you for $250.00. This covers our costs to do the following:

  • Remove the hard drive from their machine
  • Take it to our office and wipes it to the DoD 5220.22-M 3 Pass Standard
  • Re-install the wiped hard drive into their machine
  • Re-install machine firmware, and reconfigure settings to make machine operational again

When this is done, we will provide you with a report showing that your hard drive has been wiped.
